August 19th - DFREE Wealth Lab: Financial Challenges That Matter Most with Gardine Wilson

Welcome to Week Three of our dFree Online Series!

This week, we are moving into Level Three: GET AHEAD — Step Seven: MAXIMIZE THE MARGIN.

As we begin this week’s study, we are grounding ourselves in 1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV):

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

This week, we will explore the relationship between temptation, financial discipline, and creating margin.

There will always be opportunities and temptations to spend. But Scripture reminds us that God is faithful and always provides a way of escape. Financially, sometimes our “way of escape” is having a plan before the temptation ever arrives.

Maximizing the margin means intentionally creating space between what comes in and what goes out. That margin gives us room to reduce debt, increase savings, prepare for emergencies, invest for the future, and ultimately experience greater financial freedom.

This Week’s Assignment

If you are following along in the dFree book and workbook, please complete:

LEVEL THREE: GET AHEAD

STEP SEVEN: MAXIMIZE THE MARGIN

As you complete this week’s reading and assignments, consider:

Where is my financial temptation?

What is my way of escape?

Where can I reduce unnecessary spending?

How can I increase the margin between what I earn and what I spend?

What will I do with the margin I create?

Remember, the goal is not simply to make more money. The goal is to become a better steward of what God has already placed in our hands.

God provides the way of escape—but we must make the decision to take it.

Let’s MAXIMIZE THE MARGIN and continue our journey toward living a dFree life!
