  • .New Hope Baptist Church of East Orange will celebrate our 49th Church Anniversary on Sunday, November 1st at 11am

  • New Hope, it’s time to pack a “Shoebox” — a gift of LOVE! These shoeboxes will be delivered to children in homeless shelters, children experiencing homelessness with their families, and children in our East Orange school system. If you would like to fill a shoebox with gifts of love, please stop by the table in the lobby.

  • In recognition of Cancer Awareness Month, the Women’s Ministry will display New Hope’s Cancer Collages throughout October. Ribbons in various colors will be available in the lobby to show your support and should be worn throughout the month. If your picture or the picture of a loved one is included in New Hope’s collage, please see a representative to receive a special gift.

  • The Lay Counseling Ministry invites you to attend the Coping with the Challenges of Life Group, which meets on the third Tuesday of each month through December. Our next meetings will be Tuesday, November 17th, and Tuesday, December 15th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Please sign up on the church website.

  • Are you a widow or widower? We want to stay connected with you. Submit your information online or see Deacon Thurmond following the service.

Ongoing Announcements:

  • For those who have not started their new member classes and those who have yet to complete their classes, there is a class taught every Sunday at 9:30 am in the chapel except on a 5th Sunday in the month. There is no class held on 5th Sundays. There is a class on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday, for a total of 4 classes to be completed before baptism and the right hand of fellowship. You can start a class on any Sunday based on your schedule. Each teacher can explain the completion process if you have any questions.

  • Are you a licensed CDL Driver willing to volunteer for Church Bus pick up on Sunday mornings? If so, please contact the church office at 973-678-6710.

  • The Adult Sunday School Class meets in the sanctuary every Sunday at 9:30 am. Youth Sunday School is back in-person for ages 4-17 and meets in the chapel every Sunday at 9:30am. Online Sunday School Classes for Adults, Children, and Youth can be found on the New Hope Facebook Page.

  • Bible Study is held each Wednesday at 12pm (in-person) and 7pm (in-person and online).

  • Are you interested in signing up for Givelify but need assistance setting it up? See a member of the Pastoral Aid Ministry after service.

  • Please notify the church office of any funeral or memorial service arrangements or announcements involving your family. This will help ensure that NHBCEO leadership is informed accordingly and can offer the appropriate support, communication, and assistance as needed.

  • New Hope family, please help us maintain the sanctity and reverence of our sanctuary by refraining from eating inside. We also ask that you take all trash and personal belongings with you when leaving. Your cooperation helps us keep our worship space clean, welcoming, and respectful for everyone.
