  • On Sunday, September 27th, we will celebrate the 2nd Pastoral Anniversary of our beloved Pastor, Rev. Thurselle C. Williams. Plan to be in the building as we give God praise for this milestone of pastor and people, united together. Our guest preacher for this sacred occasion will be Rev. Lula A. Baker, Pastor of Cross and Crown Christian Church in East Orange. 

  • Fall Revival will be held on Monday, September 14th, through Wednesday, September 16th at 7pm each night. Our revivalist will be Rev. Dr. George L. Parks Jr., Senior Pastor of Metropolitan Baptist Church in Largo, Maryland.

  • Citadel of Hope, New Hope’s Christian School is offering two upcoming courses. Those who complete a course will receive credit from the National Sunday School Publishing Board. Register here.

    • Organizing for Christian Education in the Church will be taught by Dr.  Suzzette Nesbitt. It will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd & Thursday, September 24th from 7-9 pm virtually and in person on Saturday, September 26th from 8 am -2 pm. 

    • Baptist Doctrine and Polity will be taught by Dr. Johnnie Brooker.  It will be held on Tuesday, September 29th & Thursday, October 1st from 7-9 pm virtually and in person on Saturday, October 24th from 11 am - 5 pm.

  • The 6th Annual All Male Praise Dancefest will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 4pm. There will be dancers from NYC, Chicago, and Atlanta. Come and worship with us. You don’t want to miss this.

  • Real Talk, Real Healing: Men Breaking the Silence of Domestic Violence will be held on Saturday, Oct 10 from 11 AM–2 PM. Join the Domestic Violence Ministry for a men’s only event focused on learning, bringing awareness and standing together in solidarity against domestic violence. Sign up here.

  • Brothers - join us on Monday, October 26th at 4:30pm at the Cedar Hill Country Club in Livingston for the Ray Murphy Men’s Health Night for Football and Tailgating before the Cowboys and Eagles game. There will also be free health screenings and a panel discussion. Sign up today so we can get you registered and have a headcount for transportation. 

  • Youth Night has returned. Join us each Wednesday from 5pm-7pm. We want all youth ages 4-17 to come out for choir rehearsal, homework help, crafts, Bible Study and a light dinner. 

  • There are several service opportunities available at New Hope.  If you are interested in joining the finance committee, the human resources committee, the trustee board, or the media ministry, please click here and submit your information. Those with experience or background and finances or Human Resources are especially encouraged to join those areas.

Ongoing Announcements:

  • NEW MEMBERS: For those who have not started their new member classes and those who have yet to complete their classes, there is a class taught every Sunday at 9:30 am in the chapel except on a 5th Sunday in the month. There is no class held on 5th Sundays. There is a class on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday, for a total of 4 classes to be completed before baptism and the right hand of fellowship. You can start a class on any Sunday based on your schedule. Each teacher can explain the completion process if you have any questions.

  • VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Are you a licensed CDL Driver willing to volunteer for Church Bus pick up on Sunday mornings? If so, please contact the church office at 973-678-6710.

  • SUNDAY SCHOOL: The Adult Sunday School Class meets in the sanctuary every Sunday at 9:30 am. Youth Sunday School is back in-person for ages 4-17 and meets in the chapel every Sunday at 9:30am. Online Sunday School Classes for Adults, Children, and Youth can be found on the New Hope Facebook Page.

  • BIBLE STUDY: In-person Bible study will resume on Wednesday, September 23rd.

  • GIVELIFY: Are you interested in signing up for Givelify but need assistance setting it up? See a member of the Pastoral Aid Ministry after service.
